Solren was born without sight. His eyes opened only into brilliance — searing light that no one could endure. Shunned and feared, he wandered worlds alone, guided only by the rhythm of his steps.
On a planet where darkness ruled eternal, he faced his greatest trial. Shadows closed around him, feeding on his blindness, seeking to extinguish his glow. For the first time, Solren felt himself falter.
But instead of collapsing, he lifted his face and released the light within. The darkness recoiled, burning away in waves. Yet in its retreat, a fragment of night condensed into form — a silver sphere, glowing softly, circling him as if it had always belonged. It was the moon: born of shadow, now bound to light.
With it, Solren gained his true sight. Through the moon, he could guide rivers, raise walls, weave bridges, and protect those who had known only fear. Where his brilliance was overwhelming, the moon made it gentle — a balance between radiance and reflection.
Together, they restored that darkened world, leading its people out of shadow and back into life. And when their task was done, Solren rose again, his moon at his side, to seek other realms in need of light.
